About the Social Justice Fellowships
The NIF/Shatil Social Justice Fellowships enables post-college Jewish leaders to spend 10 months immersed in the movement for social change in Israel. Fellows will be placed in premier Israeli social change organizations for a year of in-depth work and learning. Fellows participate in monthly seminars and periodic site visits to further develop their understanding of society, activism, and progressive social change in Israel. Fellows will have the opportunity to work within a social change organization in one of the following areas:
*Safeguarding civil and human rights and
*Building shared society
*Promoting Palestinian civic equality
*Advancing social and economic justice
*Advocating for religious freedom
Applicants must be college graduates by the start of the fellowship. Successful applicants must have strong Hebrew language or Arabic skills. The fellowship year runs from September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. Fellows will receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses.
