|The mission of the Human Development Report Office (HDRO) is to advance human development. The goal is to contribute towards the expansion of opportunities, choice and freedom. HDRO works towards this goal by promoting innovative new ideas, advocating practical policy changes, and constructively challenging policies and approaches that constrain human development. HDRO works with others to achieve change through writing and research, data analysis and presentation, and outreach and advocacy work.
The Human Development Report (HDR) is produced by a multi-disciplinary team. The HDR focuses on a different theme every year, with the objective of moving the global debate on human development forward. HDR 2019 will examine inequalities in the twenty first century, going beyond income, beyond averages, and beyond today. HDRO is seeking a consultant, who will be based in the office, and will contribute to the report preparation in the Office, working with the HDR Research team.
Duties and Responsibilities
|The work of the consultant will largely be about assisting in the fact checking process. In addition, the consultant will also assist in the analysis and drafting of material for the HDR 2019. It is expected that the consultant will perform the following tasks:

Individual consultants will be evaluated based on UNDP’s cumulative analysis methodology (weighted scoring method), where the award of the contract will be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as:
The criteria which shall serve as basis for evaluating offers will be a combined scoring method as follows:
Only Individual Consultants obtaining a minimum of 49 points (70%) on the Technical evaluation would be considered for the Financial Evaluation. For those offers considered in the financial evaluation, the lowest price offer will receive 30 points. The other offers will receive points in relation to the lowest offer, based on the following formula: (PI / Pn)* 30 where Pn is the financial offer being evaluated and Pl is the lowest financial offer received.
