The Robinwood Center is looking for an awesome person to join our founding team as the Director of Farming & Farm Education! This person will create and manage an integrated system of vegetables, herbs, fruit, and animals using regenerative agricultural practices and will collaborate with our team to design and implement agricultural education programming.The Robinwood Center is located on a beautiful 100-acre property in Stratham, NH. The Director of Farming & Farm Education will be responsible for approximately 15 acres. Qualified applicants will be interviewed on a rolling basis. Apply by October 1st! RESPONSIBILITIES:
Farming
● Create annual plan for all farm systems on leased land including crops and animals to fulfill goals
of regenerating land, producing food for the center, providing educational opportunities, &
creating community spaces at the farm
● Collaborate with Director of Operations & Programs to develop and manage farm operations
budget, including revenue and expense tracking
● Maintain ~15 acres of organic vegetable production using regenerative and non-chemical
methods such as integrative pest management or permaculture practices
● Develop and maintain animal systems on the farm including chickens, goats, sheep, pigs and
potentially cows
● Build and maintain farm and community composting systems
● Ensure all farm practices and activities align with the Conservation Easement on the property
● Collaborate with Director of Operations & Programs to explore & make recommendations on
organic certification process
● Collaborate with Director of Operations & Programs to hire and manage seasonal farm support
● Purchase and maintain seeds, farm materials, and equipment
● Maintain and manage farm stand
● Research and propose farm infrastructure improvements
● Explore potential for onsite seed saving and community seed bank
Farm Education
● Collaborate with Director of Operations & Programs to design agricultural education
programming for people of all ages and abilities
● Collaborate with Director of Operations & Programs to develop and manage farm program budget

● Facilitate agriculture education programming with support from other Robinwood Center staff or
instructors, providing training to staff and instructors as needed
● Coordinate regular staff support of farm activities & train staff members in assigned tasks (each
team member will be responsible for 5 hours per week of farm chores)
● Facilitate regular volunteer support of farm activities and collaborate with Director of Operations
& Programs to coordinate volunteer days
General
● Participate in weekly team meetings & provide input on general Robinwood Center plans
● Participate in and support with regular Robinwood Center activities including volunteer days,
community events, workshops, & input opportunities
● Participate in annual staff trainings on equity, non-violent communication, and first aid

QUALIFICATIONS:
● 3+ years experience in farm management including both animals as well as fruit & vegetable crops
● Significant experience with and commitment to regenerative, non-chemical farming practices
● 3+ years experience in experiential farm-based education
● Experience working with a broad range of ages and backgrounds
● Commitment to the Robinwood Center’s Values and non-violent communication
● Holistic, systems approach to agriculture
● Knowledge of wild herbs and medicinal plants beneficial

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
For the first year, the position will be full-time from March – October at 40 hours/week and part-time
from November – February at 5-10 hours/week. The position has the potential to grow to full-time year
round in the future based on programming needs, funding, and the interest of the individual.
● Starting hourly rate of $23 – $27/ hour
● Health Insurance: The Robinwood Center anticipates providing health insurance by January 2019;
the hourly rate includes an allowance for the individual to obtain health insurance independently.
Once organization health insurance is established the hourly rate will be renegotiated.

● Farm produce as available
